This month, I am kicking off an ambitious series of events with Business Finland and GlobalEdgeMarkets for Work in Finland as part of the “Find Your Superposition” campaign. I am pleased with the incredible momentum we’ve built over the last year and look forward to bringing Finnish representatives face to face with career applicants. For me, this project isn’t just about “talent attraction”—it’s about connecting the dots between my work and the life I have loved here in Finland for nearly ten years.
As an American who moved to southern Finland a decade ago, I know exactly what it’s like to wonder if you can walk away from “convenient” and strive for “exceptional”. That’s why the “Find Your Superposition” campaign is so close to my heart.
In quantum physics, a superposition means existing in two states at once. In Finland, it means you don’t have to choose between being a leading scientist and being a present parent, or between developing cutting-edge AI and spending your afternoons in a quiet forest.
The Heart of Finnish Innovation
Supporting this campaign throughout 2025 and 2026 has introduced me to the true “super-powers” of Finland: the people. I’ve spent time with government officials who are genuinely accessible, researchers at the top of their fields, and entrepreneurs who are redefining what’s possible.
Finland’s deep tech ecosystem is thriving, and the positions we are looking to fill right now are at the frontier of science. We are actively recruiting for roles like:
- Quantum Computing: QPU Development Engineers at places like IQM.
- Space Tech: Satellite Systems Specialists and Integration Technicians at ICEYE.
- Health & BioTech: Oncology Researchers and Biomedical Scientists at Orion and our university hospitals.
- AI & ICT: Cloud Full Stack Developers and Generative AI experts.
Bringing Finland to the US: March 2026
The feedback from the US science and business communities has been incredible—there is a surprising and growing hunger among Americans for the stability, safety, and “closeness to nature” that Finland offers. In Finland, happiness comes from having your priorities straight.

Through my work with the American Women’s Club, LohjanMonitoimiKeskus, and Bloom Finland, I’ve seen how expats find their footing and flourish.
